Tennessee Soybean Association Applauds House Passage of the 2026 Farm, Food, and National Security Act

Jackson, Tenn., April 30, 2026 - The Tennessee Soybean Association today applauded the U.S. House of Representatives for passing H.R. 7567, the 2026 Farm, Food, and National Security Act. The passing vote in the House today is a major step toward securing a stable national farm policy that protects producers and consumers, strengthens rural communities and reinforces America’s position in global agriculture.

The legislation includes updates across key titles that matter to Tennessee soybean growers, including risk management tools, conservation investments, rural development programs and improvements to commodity programs. Together, these measures provide long‑overdue certainty for producers navigating volatile markets, weather extremes, supply chain pressures, and rising input costs.

“Today’s House vote gives farmers the stability and direction we’ve been waiting for,” said Jay Yeargin, president of the Tennessee Soybean Association. “We appreciate the leadership of Tennessee’s House delegation in advancing a farm bill that puts producers first and signals to global markets that Tennessee farmers are ready to compete and ready to do business.”

The Tennessee Soybean Association noted that a timely, comprehensive farm bill helps maintain momentum for Tennessee’s $1.3 billion soybean industry, supports innovation, and sustains family farms that anchor rural economies across the state.

With House passage now complete, the Association urges the U.S. Senate to advance its version of the bill and move swiftly toward a bipartisan agreement that can be signed into law.
